Harry willing to return to royal duties to ‘help out’

The Duke of Sussex is reportedly open to returning to life as a working royal to help out when needed.
But first, he wants his estranged brother Prince William to apologise.
The new claims, as reported in The Mirror, follow reports at the weekend that Prince Harry was looking to make a comeback in the UK.

There was said to be an alleged “blueprint” outlining how Prince Harry might one day begin moving in UK circles again after he had reached out to a tight group of trusted advisors with whom he worked in his former life.
The Mail on Sunday claimed that certain “friends” want a key lieutenant to lead a “comeback campaign”, naming Ed Lane Fox, the duke’s former private secretary, as the ideal candidate.

But those reports were debunked days later, with “well-placed sources” telling The Telegraph UK the prince has “no interest” in returning to royal duties in the UK and is focused solely on his future in the United States.
Now, The Mirror reports Prince Harry would be open to taking up a temporary role in the royal family to “help out” if he was asked to by his father King Charles.
The royal family has been stretched this year with the King and Princess of Wales spending large amounts of time away from public-facing duties due to their ongoing cancer treatment.

While the monarch was given the all-clear to return to work in April, Catherine’s recovery is ongoing with no timeline given as to when she might resume her public role.
But Prince Harry would need an apology from his brother before coming back, the publication reports.
Both were under the same roof last week when they attended the funeral of their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes, in Norfolk, but neither spoke to each other according to locals who were also there.

Prince Harry stayed at the family home of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, at the invitation of her brother Earl Spencer.
The brothers are not believed to have spoken since their grandmother’s funeral in 2022.
Prince William previously said there was “zero chance” Harry would be welcomed back, according to The Mirror.
The Prince of Wales and his wife came under attack by Prince Harry in his memoir, Spare, acts that have damaged the brothers’ relationship.
Sources also told the publication the Duke of Sussex was focused on “making a success of his life” in the US, maintaining he is happy with his decision on choosing to quit his royal life.
They said speculation about creating a blueprint for a royal return was “far from his mind” and any contact with former aides would be “purely for strategic and friendly advice”.
